Christmas in Canary Wharf
The nights are drawing in, the weather is getting colder and the Christmas aisles are now in stores. London is the place to be at this time of year but with so much going on it can be hard to decide where to go and what to do! We have gathered our favourite Christmas events coming to London and Canary Wharf this winter!
Winter Wonderland
Immerse yourself in one of London’s favourite winter events, Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park. Starting on the 21st of November, Winter Wonderland is a free admissions event.
Inside the magical event, you will find everything you need for a season filled day; ice skating, the Magical Ice Kingdom taking on A Christmas Carol, a Christmas circus, fairground rides, comedy clubs and more!
Whether you are planning a family trip to the capital over the winter months or are taking an adult’s trip away, Winter Wonderland is perfect for any occasion. Enchanting day time shows will keep all the family entertained while the older crowd can spend the day experiencing the chilling ice bar and afterwards warm up with a mulled wine around the fire pit.

Christmas Carols at Trafalgar Square
Get in the festive spirit at Trafalgar Square in the run-up to Christmas. Over 40 carol groups gather by the world-famous Christmas Tree in the square in the run-up to the 25th and perform classic Christmas carols.
This is a free event for all and one we advise you to attend! Dates and times will be released closer in November.
Carols and Candle Service
Only a second walk away from our Canary Wharf hotel will be the Carols & Candles Service. This event will take place on the 10th December at the spectacular East Wintergarden, enjoy the service surrounded by jaw-dropping Christmas lights and handheld candles.
Tickets to this heart-warming event can be yours for only £2 and all proceeds to the St. Giles Trust and The Favela Foundation.
An Evening with Michael Bublé
Nothing says Christmas quite like the reappearance of Michael Bublé, the performing sensation returns to the o2 Arena Monday 9th and Tuesday 10th December 2019 for a spectacular seasonal performance.
Tickets to see the performers smooth moves and hear the velvety vocals first-hand are still available and can be purchased here.
Skating Around the Tower of London
2019 see’s Canary Wharf’s famous Ice Rink being closed for refurbished with big things promised for 2020 but not too worry, only a short ride away is the Tower of London and your chance to skate around the ambience of the location and its jaw-dropping views.
The rink is open from the 16th November through to the 5th January, excluding Christmas Day. You can purchase your tickets online for this Christmas treat here or you can visit the box office on-site on the day.
If Ice Skating is not for you, enjoy the perks for being a spectator. The Ice Rink Café Bar offers a range pastries, indulgent drinks and tasty treats.
